Description from record TR 15 NW 398:
Nos 1 and 2 St Margaret's Street [TR 14825765 sited from OS 1/1250 1974]. Grade II. 16th century timber-framed building. (1) No 1 St Margaret's Street. One bay of two bay 16th century house. No 2 St Margaret's Street. One bay of two bay 16th century timber- framed house. (2)

Nos 1 & 2 TR 1457 NE 4/192 3.12.49.

2. C16 timber-framed building now plastered ever. 2 storeys and 2 gables with moulded eaves cornice. Restored tiled roof. 3 curved brackets, 2 of them finely carved beasts. Gables have 2 C18 sashes with glazing bars intact. 1st floor has 2 3-light canted bays, the right side one without glazing bars. Later shopfronts.
Forms a group with No 23 Watling Street.
