2. An C18 building refronted. Mid C19 facade. 2 storeys stuccoed. Hipped tiled roof with parapet. 1 sash with verticals only. Restored doorcase set in moulded architrave. The side elevation has 1 sash with glazing bars intact and a stringcourse.

The Fox and Hounds was one of eleven inns in Ivy Lane in the mid 19th century.

Licensing lists and directories give the following as innkeepers;
1832 Henry Laming (-A bricklayer and son of William Laming, silk weaver, Henry had purchased several houses in the block and became innkeeper of the Fox and Hounds in 1832 until 1848.)
1855 J. Greenstreet
1862 William Friend (gave up the EAGLE -now chaucer hotel- and moved to the Fox and Hounds)
1908 Inn closed.
