A heritage assessment of the building described no. 1 as possessing 2 original window cases at ground floor level. The building was reroofed in the 1970s, with the base of an original chimney stack surviving within the modern roof. No.1b is a three bay red brick building dating to the 19th/20th century - it is linked to No 1 & 2. This building is not listed; features of interest within the building include arched casement windows on the first and second floors with sashes to the ground floor, alongside the remains of a hay loft door, which is suggested to indicate industrial use. "The only surviving internal fabric is the timber frame of the roof open to the 2nd floor room, which appears to have been recreated rather than in its original configuration. The brickwork indicated the roof was raised to create a 2nd floor in line with the rest of the building in the 1970s. The rear wall line appears to have been extended outwards into the courtyard with modern brickwork and plastic windows which detract from the courtyard facing elevation. As does the small single storey add on to the rear" (from the original report, 2).
