Monument record TQ 76 SW 21 - Roman burial, Burham

Summary

In 1913 workmen found a Roman burial when they were widening the east side of a road called Colepit (or Copit or Coalpit Bank) Lane in the woods at Bridgewoods near Rochester. It contained a skeleton and and two vases, one decorated with a yellow scroll pattern. Both vases were destroyed. No further information on the site was recorded.
