The following text is from the original listed building designation:
THE DRIVE 1. 5273 Chestfield The Paddock Paddock South TR 16 NW 4/90 II 2. This building has been much altered with a number of additions and the use of sham timbering. It has a steep tiled roof with some thatch and a variety of large dormers with lead lights. It wears the appearance of a C17 2 storey house except that it has a very steep roof indicative of the C15.
