Summary

Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1767 to 1799 Summary from record TR 15 NE 786: Barton Court was singled out for close defence in the Canterbury Fortress Defence Scheme of September 1941. A fortified house was sited in some outbuilding on the western boundary of the grounds and weapon pits were excavated in several places on the garden perimeter.
