The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BORSTAL HILL 1. 5275 (East Side) No 5 TR 16 NW 4/76 II GV 2. Early Cl7 2 storey building, the upper storey being built in the roof with gabled dormers and original glazing. Elsewhere modern casements with glazing bars. Brick up to 1st floor and weatherboarded above. Old clay tiled roof.
