2. Possibly C18 or C19 super-structure. Brick built well with stone surround, including some mediaeval masonry. Arch of stone rubble and keystone with Prince of Wales feathers and motto "Ich Dien". Tradition says that the Black Prince (d. 1376) sent for water from this healing spring. Included for historical associations.
