The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 944 BROAD STREET (North East Side)
Nos 47 and 47A TR 1558 SW 3/431

2. C15 timber-framed building now refaced with painted brick and rough cast. Hipped tiled roof. 3 sashes with verticals only on Broad Street elevation, 2 on the Military Road elevation. Early C19 shopfront with cornice and 4 pilasters. Door set in corner. Doorcase to No 47A has a simple moulded architrave and 6 Panelled door.
Nos 47 to 52 (consec) form a group together with No 1 Albion Place.
