Findspot record TQ 76 SW 45 - Medieval (13th century) lead seal found at Lower Kits Coty, Aylesford
Summary
A 13th century lead seal matrix was found in September 1979 near Lower Kits Coty. The inscription reads S'IVLANI'HENEY or "seal of Julian Heney". The lettering is between two incised circles and is surrounding a crudely cut ten-leaf design. The reverse has a raised design, possibly a fleurs -de -lys, and has a triangular tag which is bent back. Its diameter is 1 inch or 2.54cms.
