The following text is from the original listed building designation:
THE DRIVE 1. 5273 Chestfield Gas Lantern and Column west of North and South Tythe Barn TR 16 NW 4/271 II 2. Mid C19 gas lantern. Cast iron circular base with decoration, small fluted section at top, 4 curved ogee braces supporting lantern having a smaller base than top. Sloping roof terminating in anthemion foliage at the 4 corners. 2 bell vents and finial. Gas lit.
