The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MIDDLE WALL 1. 5273 Gas lantern and Column at corner of Beach Alley TR 1066 NE 1/206 II 2. Mid C19 gas lantern and columm. Cast iron fluted column with 4 curved ogee braces supporting square type lantern having a smaller base than top. Sloping roof terminating in anthemion foliage at the 4 corners, 2 bell vents and finial over. Gas lit.
