The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SADDLETON ROAD 1. 5275 Gas Lantern and Column at junction with Kent street. TR 16 NW 4/225 II 2. Mid C19 gas lantern. Cast iron octagonal column surmounted by 4 ogee braces supporting a square type lantern having a smaller base than top. Sloping roof terminating in anthemion foliage at the 4 corners. 2 bell vents.
