The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5273 CHISLET MARSHSIDE

2. A timber-framed building refaced. The east front retains its C17 aspect. Two storeys painted brick on a stuccoed base. Tiled roof with three gables. STringcourse. Four sashes with glazing bars intact. Doorcase with flat hood on brackets. The west front has been refaced in the early C19. Two storeys and attics stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated. One modern dormer. Long and short quoins and stringcourse. Five sashes with architraves over and glazing bars missing.
