Full Description
A gold quarter stater (Gallo-Belgic A.B.2) found c. 1923 on Oldbury Hill, is in Maidstone Museum. It is from the late H. A. Hooker's collection, but no details of its exact provenance or circumstances of finding are known. It possibly came from Ives, a field on the N. side of the hill, where 3 similar coins were found late in the last century. (See TQ 55 NE 4)(1)
