[Area centred TQ 77767908] '... A large Roman urn found 6' below the surface when cutting a ditch in the marsh, c.20 yds. from the river wall, to the SE of Egypt Bay.. High Halstow. The urn is similar to that made in the Upchurch marshes, and may indicate that there were potteries on the western side of the Medway also...' (1) [Note based on auth.
