TR 35 NW EASTRY SELSON
(south side) 6/167 Great Selson 11.10.63 GV II*
House. Mid C17, extended early C18. Red brick with tile hanging on left return. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic with basement on plinth with plat band and moulded eaves cornice to hipped roof with 2 hipped dormers and stack to left. Three glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on ground floor with 2 basement openings to right. Boarded door with small glazing bar sash to left in gabled wooden porch. Single storey extension to left. Rear wing to right; 2 storey hipped porch with rusticated brick quoins, horizontally sliding sash on first floor and elliptical doorway, attached to earlier rear ranges. Interior; mid C17 staircase with large square section newels, slightly moulded handrail, column-turned balusters, open well plan, rising full to attic storey. Inglenooks and moulded door surrounds throughout house.
