Summary

A ring ditch and linear feature identified from aerial photographs. The ring ditch has been interpreted as a possibly Bronze Age round barrow. This possible barrow site is situated to the east of High Halstow village. This site was mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

Ring-ditch only partialy visible against geological noise. Ditch appears to be very wide. Linear feature may be non-archaeological. (1) Single circuit ring ditch without internal features recorded at TQ 7871 7538 from good quality air photographs. Interpreted as Bronze Age round barrow (site no. KE 176.1.1) (2)
