The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ASH RICHBOROUGH TR 36SW 3/44 Richborough Farm and Richborough Farm Cottage II
House. C16. Timber framed and roughcast with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and hipped roof with gablet at end right., the roof stepped down to right. Stacks to end left, left and centre right. Four sashes and central metal casement on first floor, and 2 sashes and 3 metal casements on ground floor. Half-glazed door to centre right in glazed porch, and half-glazed door in left return. Catslide outshot to rear. Interior: full frame survives. Within the outshot to rear is evidence of a continuous jetty. Close studding of original outer wall survives with 1 hollow chamfered mullioned window. Clasped purlin roof. Inglenooks (blocked) and internal doors of some age. Remains of C18 herring hang in outshot. (Righthand section probably remains of pre C16 hall house.)
