Monument record TR 34 SW 861 - Former site of a post medieval building adjoining the west of the gatehouse at Dover Collage, Dover

Summary

Former site of a post medieval building, possibly associated with Dover College. The building has been demolished but originally consisted of a large, three storey and basemented structure of ashlar blocks designed by G. E. Street, to the west of the (still extant) gate-house. It had a tiled roof with 3 hipped dormers, Mullioned and transomed windows. Main construction periods 1851 to 1891. The building was de-listed in 1998.
