Maison Dieu House has a good 17th century brick façade, a 17th century oak staircase and 18th century internal decoration though other internal features suggest that the house is older than the façade. Now occupied by Dover Council. Scheduled. (3)
The excavation of a cable trench from the front door of Maison Dieu House to the Neastern pavement of Biggin St, revealed 3 walls, 2 probable MD and forming a structure. 1 may belong to the outer boundary wall of the MD hospital complex. The 3rd wall was clearly later and could represent a strenghtening/replacement of a MD wall. (4)
