2. Brick built building with a large timber span of C15 characteristics, but probably dates from the end of the C16. It is plain tiled at the front and part plain tiled with hip at the rear and part pantiled, brickwork has been plastered, 2 small box sashes on 1st floor which are not original and one large box sash on ground floor the upper sash with glazing bars and the lower part without, also not original. Front door places original and is 3 panel.

No 1 and outbuilding with Nos 1 to 23 (odd) The Chain and with Nos 4 to 12 (even) Church Street St Clements forms a group.
