Full Description
(Marginal) Polished flint axe found in 1865 at Seal Chart. (1) This axe is presumed to be the one held in Maidstone Museum store, ex the late Sir Edward Harrison's collection, labelled, "found at Seal Chart". (2) TQ 565565 (sited to place name only) One medium sized mesolithic tranchet axe in the Maidstone Museum, ex B (sic) Harrison was found at Seal Chart. Information from R M Jacobi. (3) Flint hand axe found at Seal Chart (TQ 56 55) by B Harrison, recorded as being in Tunbridge Wells Museum. (4)
