Full Description
Cliffe: late Bronze Age hoard of eight objects (socketed axes, spear-head, gouge, sword) now in the British Museum (1). Cliffe at Hoo. Hoard consisting of five socketed axes, one gouge, one sword and one spearhead (2). No additional siting evidence discovered. The present location of what would appear to be a merchant's hoard was not confirmed (3). [TQ 725764]. The BA hoard was found c.1890 in the area immediately NW of Quarry Cottages (4).
