The following text is from the original listed building designation:
DOVER ROAD WALMER 1. 1035 TR 35 SE 5/435 No. 275 (Gothic House) II 2. Mid C19 house of irregular shape with some later C19 additions. Symmetrical front elevation of 1 storey and attics stuccoed and grooved in imitation of masonry. It consists of a recessed centre and 2 projecting gabled wings linked by a verandah. Tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers. Gables have stepped wooden bargeboards, 1 pointed arched window with 'Gothick' glazing to each floor of the gabled wings. The verandah consists of 3 pointed arches, with tiled roof supported on square chamfered columns with moulded capitals and bases. French windows beyind with Venetian shutters. Asym- metrical rear and aide elevations of 2 storeys with gables and hips and clustered chimneystacks.
