The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. MIDDLE STREET 1035 (East Side) No 148 TR 3753 SE 2/363 II GV 2. C18. 2 storeys and attics stuccoed. Renewed mansard tiled roof with a modern dormer. 1 sash on 1st floor. 1 modern bow on ground floor, both with restored glazing bars. Left side doorcase with open pediment containing festoon moulding, reeded frieze, urns and plain pilasters. 4 panelled door. The side elevation is weather- boarded. Nos 140 to 148 (even) form a group.
