Findspot record TQ 77 NW 28 - Two Roman brooches, found at the mouth of Cliffe Creek, Cliffe

Summary

Two Roman brooches by the mouth of Cliffe Creek. The first brooch was not of any known type and came from an area of susppected salt panning. The second brroch was found very close to the original findspot during subsequent patrols in the area. This was an example of the head-stud type, dated to the first half of the second century.
