The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MARKET STREET 1. 1035 (North Side) No 9 TR 3753 NE 1/96A II GV 2. Probably late C17 in origin. 2 storeys and attics stuccoed. Renewed tiled roof and gable end. 1 window. Sliding sash on 2nd floor. 1st floor has a 5-light canted bay. Sash window to ground floor with Venetian shutters. Simple doorcase. Moulded early C19 beam above ground floor. Nos 5 to 9 (consec) form a group.
