The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BEACH STREET 1. 1035 (West Side) No 157 (Lorne House) TR 5753 SE 2/211 II GV 2. Early C19. 3 storeys stuccoed on ground floor, painted brick on upper floors. Hipped tiled roof. 1 sash without glazing bars, 3 light on 1st floor. Ground floor window has a grotesque mask keystone. Side elevation has 3 sashes. Nos 157 to 161 (odd) and No 165 form a group.
