The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BEACH STREET 1. 1035 (West Side) No 197 (Seamark House) TR 3753 SE 2/217 II GV 2. Mid C19. 3 storeys basement and attics stuccoed. Slate roof with 1 dormer. 1 sash and 1 3-light canted bay to 1st floor. Other floors have Venetian blinds. Right side doorcase with keystone and 4 panelled door. No 183 to 199 (odd) form a group.
