The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ALFRED SQUARE 1. 1035 (South Side) No 11 TR 3753 SE 2/175 II GV 2. Mid Cl9. 3 storeys and basement cement rendered. Parapet with coping. 2 sashes with verticals only and 1st floor 3 light bay. Left side doorcase with cornice and 2 console brackets. Plain doorcase to right hand side. Nos 9 to 13 (consec) form a group together with Nos 187 & 189 Middle Street.
