The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 24 NW DENTON AND WOOTTON CANTERBURY ROAD (west side) 1/46 Lavender Cottage 27.8.52 GV II House. C16 or C17. Timber framed and exposed studding of small scantling with plaster infill and underbuilt with flint with brick dressings. Pantiled roof with some plain tiles. Two storeys with hipped roof to right with catslide outshot at end right. Stacks to end left and to centre right. Three large and 1 small wooden casements on first floor, and 3 wooden casements on ground floor with bay window to left. Plank and stud door to right in gabled porch.
