The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 24 SW ALKHAM SOUTH ALKHAM (north side) 3/24 22.8.62 Upton Farmhouse GV II House. Early C18. Red brick with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic on plinth with plat band and wooden modillion eaves cornice to roof with stacks at end left and at end right, with 2 flat roofed horizontally sliding glazing bar sash dormers. Regular fenestration of 5 glazing bar sashes on first floor, the central smaller and with rendered panel below, and 4 on ground floor. Plat band raised up over central half-glazed door with rectangular fanlight in trellised porch with flat hood.
