2/188 Ladydown Farmhouse 1 and 2 Laydown Cottages

Farmhouse and attached oast. Early C19. Red brick and slate roof, and corrugated iron roof to oast. Two storeys and attic with gambrel roof, 3 flat roofed dormers and stacks to left and to right. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on ground floor with gauged heads. Glazed door in central later C19 gabled porch. To left a disused cast, the stores of 2 storeys with irregular fenestration of wooden casements and glazing bar sash, with half-glazed door to right in glazed parch, with truncated roundel at end left, also with wooden casement and glazing bar sashes. An unusual designed unit.
