The following text is from the original listed building designation:
EASTRY THE CROSS TR 3054 (west side) 12/127 Cobbler's Cottage and Cross Cottage GV II
Cottage pair, sometime house and shop. Mid C18. Painted brick and plain tiled roof. One storey and attic on plinth with brick dentil eaves cornice to roof half-hipped to left, with large mid C20 dormer and 1 hipped dormer to right and stack to centre left with truncated offset stack projecting at end right. Two segmental headed glazing bar sashes and multi-paned early C19 shop window with frieze and cornice, returned on right elevation. Segmental headed 4 panelled door to centre left and left of that a blocked door opening and boarded door to right with rectangular fanlight in pilaster surround. Included for Group Value.
