The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ASH TR 2858 THE STREET (south side) 10/78 No 59 (Ship House) and No 59A GV II
House. Early C18. Painted brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with discontinuous plat band and cornice band to roof with kneelered gables, 2 hipped dormers and stacks to end left and to end right. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 with segmental heads on ground floor. Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with rectangular fanlight at head of 4 steps with simple iron rails.
