EASTRY TR 25 SE 7/105 Shingleton 11.10.63 Farmhouse GV II
House. Mid C18. Red brick and plain tile roof.Two storeys on plinth with plat band and hipped roof with stacks to centre left and to end right. Irregular fenestration of 5 metal casements on first floor and 2 blocked window spaces. One blocked window space and 4 segmental headed metal casements on ground floor. Half-glazed door with segmental head to right. A manorial site, the house according to Hasted "built within memory". Earthwork remains of old manor house and chapel in woods to north-west of house.(See Hasted, X, 105-6).
