Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
NONINGTON VICARAGE LANE TR 25 SE (west side) 3/168 Toll Cottage 13.10.52 GV II House. C15 or earlier. Timber framed and exposed close studding with plaster infill on flint and brick base with plain tiled roof. One storey and attic on plinth with bressummer supporting brackets and exposed eaves. Hipped roof with gablets and large central stack. Two leaded wooden case- ments on ground floor and rib and stud door to right with four centred arched head with stone block step. The house is said to have an early C13 origin, (see A Sutton, Nonington, 1975, p6).
