The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOODNESTONE KNOWLTON TR 25SE 3/71 Oasts and farm offices about 160 metres north west of Knowlton Court
GV II Oasts, stowage and farm offices. C17 in origin, largely altered and extended mid C19. Red brick in English bond and plain tiled roof. Three gabled ranges with roundel at end right, with cowl missing. Left wing with 1 wooden casement on each floor, and 2 hipped dormers on left return, with boarded door and wooden casements on ground floor. Two storey block with recessed ground floor, moulded brick qable ends and stacks to left and centre left. Brick roundel in gable with Star of David tracery, and 2 segmentally headed wooden casements on each floor. Stowage to oast kiln, with loft door and raking joist housing on first floor, and roundel at end right. Included for group value.
