The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 24 SE ALKHAM ALKHAM VALLEY ROAD (north side) 4/11 Two headstones about 15 metres due south of Church of St Anthony GV II Two headstones. Susan Spain, d.1753. About 2 feet high with scrolled shoulders and motifs of palm fronds, 2 skulls, and open book. Thomas Marsh, d.1763. About 2 feet high with segmental head and scrolled shoulders with rocaille decoration and cherub's head.
