TR 24 NE WHITFIELD BEWSBURY CROSS LANE East side 1/88 Bewsbury Cross 25.7.80 House and Coachhouse
GV II
House. C17 extended C19. Rendered and extended with buff coloured brick, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and basement on plinth and plat band and with overhanging eaves to roof with stacks to left and to right. Two glazing bar sashes on first floor, 2 wooden casements on ground floor and double plank and stud door in porch to right. Two storey hipped extension to right, with cogged eaves cornice and sash window on each floor. The interior contains crenellated dais beam, possibly removed from elsewhere, although the site is an ancient one (as Whitfield Farm). Attached by garden wall to right is mid C19 buff brick and flint coachhouse with weather boarded front and cast iron hand pump on left return.
