The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOODNESTONE THE STREET TR 25 SE (east side) 3/111 Vicarage Cottage 13.10.52 GV II House. Dated 1711. Red brick and rendered on right return. Plain tiled roof. Two Storeys on plinth with plat band and dogtooth cornice to hipped roof with central stack. Three wooden casements on first floor and 2 on ground floor with central boarded door with gabled hood on brackets. Heart shaped date stone over door inscribed: 1711 I E I
