The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOODNESTONE THE STREET TR 25 SE (west side) 3/105 The Cottage GV II House. C18 altered early C19. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Altered in Gcodnestone Estate style. Two storeys and garret with dogtooth eaves cornice to roof with stacks to left, to rear left and to right. Single light Dering window in gable, and 2 light and 3 light Dering windows on first floor and two 3 light on ground floor. Entry by rib and stud door in kneelered gabled porch on left return with one 2 light Dering window at end left on each floor.
