The following text is from the original listed building designation:

The original building a 2 cell lobby entry plan. Two storeys and hipped roof with central stack. Tall 1 storey and garret wing added to right (to face road front) the gable end projecting at right with pierced bargeboard supported by carved brackets and half hipped roof with stack at rear. One glazing bar sash on each floor with four centred arched head and label hood. Two oriel windows on first floor to left, both with four centred arched heads and canted bay to left an ground floor with Gothick tracery. The Cottage Ornee details are exactly similar to the Lodge to Fredville Park at Holt Street (item 3/139) and presumably indicate a connection here with the estate.
