The following text is from the original listed building designation:
NONINGTON PINNERS LANE TR 25 SE (north side) 3/156 0aklands and Fairfields GV II Cottage pair. 1870's. George Devey for William Oxenden Hammond. Dressed stone, red brick and timber framed and rendered and tile hung upper storey. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys with continuous jetty, the moulded bressumer on corbelled brackets. Double jettied gables projecting to right and to left, with stacks to end left, to centre and in groups of ¾ moulded flues to front left and to end right. Oriel windows in gables to left with canted bay below and 2 mullioned windows on first floor with 2 on ground floor and half-glazed door in porch to right and boarded door in gabled porch on left return. Late C20 flat roofed extension to right.
