Monument record TQ 77 SE 30 - Linear cropmark features; possible enclosed settlement, near tile Barn Farm, Hoo St. Werburgh

Summary

The cropmarks of a possible Roman rectangular enclosed settlement with no entrances or internal features and associated ditches can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1973 and 2007. Numerous geological cropmarks make interpretation of this site difficult. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
