The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOODNESTONE KNOWLTON TR 25 SE 3/70 Barn about 150 metres north west of Knowlton Court
GV II Barn. C16 and clad C.1718. Timber framed and clad with red brick in English bond, with asbestos sheeting on roof. Plinth and ventilation slits in brick- work, with large central metal sliding doors. Right hand gable end dated D . I E 1718 Interior: large scantling frame of 5 bays with tall aisles, with passing shores to arcade posts, and renewed queen strut roof.
