Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
CASTLE STREET (North West Side) Nos 1, 3 and 5, GII Listed Building. A terrace of 3 early 19th century houses. 3 storeys and basement with area. Yellow brick, the ground floor stuccoed and rusticated. Cornice arid parapet, No 3 has stuccoed Doric pilasters from tile 1st to 2nd floor. 3 windows each except No 5 which has an extra window in the rounded corner. Most glazing bars intact. Modern bay windows on the ground floor but No 3 has ground floor sashes set in round-headed reveals. No 1 has a 6 panel moulded door with a rectangular fanlight and flat hood over, No 3 has a doorcase with Doric pilasters, pediment and rectangular fanlight and No 5 has a round-headed doorcase. Nos 1 to 53 (odd) form a group. Listing NGR: TR3217441630. (1)
