TR 2457 WINGHAM HIGH STREET
(west side) 9/311 The Old Manse 13.10.52 GV II
House. C17 and 1722. Part rendered and extended with red brick with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic on plinth with discontinuous plat band and wooden modillion eaves cornice to hipped roof with 2 hipped dormers and central stack. Regular fenestration of 5 glazing bar sashes on first floor and 4 on ground floor. Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with tented leaded hood. Dated on 2 heart shaped stones to centre; 17 22. Recessed 2 storey wing to left with 1 glazing bar sash on each floor and stack at end left with catslide outshot to rear. This range reported to have inglenooks and stop chamfered joists and to extend structurally behind the early C18 facade to right.
