4/27 Barn about 20 metres north of Northbourne 13.10.52 Court
GV II*
Barn. C17, extended late C19. Red brick with plain tiled roof on flint base and extended with flint and brown brick kneelered parapet gables to end walls, the rear elevation heavily buttressed. Shallow hipped porch to left and full hipped midstrey to right. Central projecting C19 extension, with pilastered side walls, gable supported by large pilasters with entablature blocks. Segmentally headed window set in end wall, with sunk panels on side elevation. Pantiled outshot at left (east) end, with moulded panelled door facing Northbourne Court. Interior: aisled, the aisles with high base walls to arcade, with quadrant bracing to posts and clasped purlin with secondary staggered purlin roof.
